We’re starting the Starlit Meadow Block of the Month with one of my favorite classic designs — the Double Star block. It’s bold, balanced, and the perfect way to kick things off.

Each block finishes at 12 ½” x 12 ½” (unfinished), and this month you’ll be sewing four of them.

This block uses the 4-at-a-time flying geese method, which means it comes together quickly once you get into the rhythm. It’s a great chance to get comfortable with accurate trimming and pressing so all those star points meet up just right.
